6-Year-Old on Terror Watch List

A 6-year-old little girl from Ohio has been placed on the U.S. government's terror watch list. According to her father, the most threatening thing she's ever done is be mean to her sister.

It happened recently, when the family flew from Cleveland to Minneapolis. The Thomases were allowed to fly that day, however they were told to contact the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to "clear up the matter." After the trip, 6-year-old Alyssa received a letter from the government that nothing in her file was going to be changed.

Read here for more. How would you handle this situation?

A Fifth Grade Girl's Impact on the Oil Spill

While the oil spill is heart-breaking, devastating and frustrating, one little girl decided to something about the oil-drenched birds.

Olivia Bouler, who turns 11 on Friday, has raised thousands of dollars to help the birds affected by the oil spill. She does what a fifth grade girl is supposed to do in her spare time: draw and paint. Raising an estimated $80,000 to date, Olivia sends her sketches and paintings of birds to hundreds of people who then donate money to any of several organizations helping wildlife in the Gulf.

"It’s really crazy how many people want my drawings," Olivia says.

It takes her about 15-30 minutes per drawing/painting, and she's more than happy to do it in order to help save the birds. The Audubon Society is overseeing the donation process.

AOL donated $25,000 to Audubon in her name and also gave Olivia her own artist's gallery on its site. She has a Facebook page with more than 10,000 fans.

Happy Flag Day!

Today is the official day for all Americans to show respect for our flag, its designers and makers. A lot of work went into creating those stars and stripes! Our flag is representative of who we are and why we are proud of where we live. It represents our independence and our unity as a whole nation. Are your children doing anything to celebrate this special day? If they are, please share with us because we'd love to hear why your kids are proud to be American. If not, celebrate in your own special way at home -- it's fun and a great way to spend time with your little ones.
